Relay For Life^® of Los Altos/Hills

Save the Date for next year -- June 20-21, 2009 at Los Altos High School

Thank you, thank you, thank you!   Were you energized and inspired by this day and night of community, remembrance, and hope? I sure hope so -- the money you helped raise at Relay moves us ever closer to our crucial goal: a future without cancer.   WE DID IT! We survived the hottest weather ever for a Relay For Life in Los Altos/Hills. We enrolled 123 people in the American Cancer Society's new long-term Cancer Prevention Study-3. We raised over $275,000 and are still accepting donations until August 25th for this year.

We Celebrated the lives of over 250 cancer survivors in their beautiful purple shirts. 
We Remembered the memory of those we have lost to cancer with heart-warming luminaria bags and a very moving reading of each person's name. 
We pledged to Fight Back by doing just one thing for ourselves or someone else to reduce the incidence of new cancer diagnoses, reduce the number of deaths from cancer, and eliminate cancer as a major health risk.  

THANK YOU to our wonderful sponsors and in-kind donors, our team captains and team members, and to the generosity of our communities of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills. One by one by one, together we are making a difference. 

The event is over, but the fight is not!  

We are still accepting donations until August 25th for this year.
