Just Added-Joyful Noise

Relay is pleased to present an inspirational and uplifting performance by the Joyful Noise Choir. From their website, “Joyful Noise is a chorus of adults with physical and neurological challenges who live in southern New Jersey. The chorus, hosted by Bancroft NeuroHealth, currently has thirty members, ages 20-65.” Along with their director, Allison Fromm, Joyful Noise will perform at 7:20 Friday night. A member of the choir is also a cancer survivor. Joyful Noise will certainly help us Celebrate, Luminaria will let us Remember and all the teams raising money are Fighting Back!

Don’t forget to bring appropriate evening wear and makeup for your Miss Relay contestants! The more your “Dude Looks Like A Lady,” the more $$$ “she’ll” raise and the greater chance of being crowned “Miss Relay 2008!”

The Entertainment/Activities Committee was discussing the Team Legged Race. We’re thinking of running heats of 5 teams at a time . . .winner from each heat runs in an elimination until we find the fastest Team Legged Race team. Team Legged Races start at 2:00 am.

Stephone Mickler is new to Relay this year, but he’s stepped up and organized the Step Dance Competition. We have 6 teams (3 men and 3 women) competing. You don’t want to miss the excitement of the Step Dancer . . .that will be at 8:30pm.

And, you won't want to miss the Karaoke Tent with "Karaoke and Beyond!"

The ACS CAN Fight Back Express will be traveling across the country, uniting your voice with those of millions of other Americans who believe cancer needs to be a top national priority and a campaign issue.

 CELEBRATE. REMEMBER. FIGHT BACK.

Each year, across the nation, one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. That event is the American Cancer Society Relay For Life®. It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives.

Won’t you join us this year and be a part of Relay?

It’s not just an opportunity to celebrate, remember, and fight back your involvement will help the American Cancer Society work toward a mission of eliminating cancer as major health issue and will support much-needed services in your community. Thanks in part to the donations from Relay For Life and other events, the Society is saving lives, helping those touched by cancer, and empowering people to fight this disease all over the world.

If you want to be a part of the fight against cancer, Sign up today for the Relay For Life of Delran.

After you register, make plans to join us at the 2008 kickoff celebration. We’ll get the season started with an informative and inspirational event on May 30th, 2008 at Delran High School. If you’re interested in learning more or receiving an invitation, please email us at aimee_relay@verizon.net or call 609-284-0758.
